How we work
We write for clients all across the UK, using broadband, email and telephone.
Usually, we write remotely, but where viable we can travel from our offices in Wiltshire and Devon to meet clients in most UK towns or cities.
Our copywriters can travel to the following areas:
South East – London, Middlesex, Sussex, including Heathrow.
Midlands – Herefordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, covering Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Worcester.
Thames Valley – Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, covering Banbury, Basingstoke, Bracknell, Farnborough, Guildford, High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Reading, Slough, Staines, Windsor, Wokingham.
South West – Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, covering Barnstaple, Bath, Bideford, Bristol, Exeter, Ilfracombe, Minehead, Penzance, Plymouth, Salisbury, Swindon, Taunton, Tiverton, Truro.
If we do not cover your area, we can write your text remotely.
We complete the majority of our projects remotely, using broadband internet connections to communicate with clients by email.
Often we do not meet clients face-to-face due to distance or short timescales, although we build long-term relationships because clients are happy with our work.
We work from our own offices in Wilton, Wiltshire and Ilfracombe, Devon and can easily visit clients where this is viable for all involved. We can also work at your offices by arrangement.
We start by agreeing the brief to establish precisely what you want our copywriters to write.
This will cover:
- the actual content
- any research or interviews required
- the style of writing
- the format of the text (eg magazine article, press release, web site or blog)
- length of text
- how you will review the text
- how we will amend the text
- your final approval
Because the brief is a set of precise instructions on which our copywriting quotation is based, we may need to re-quote if you need to change anything after we have started.
We try to be as flexible as possible, although need to charge for time a copywriter has already spent on your project.
Our aim is to provide you with high quality freelance copywriting at a competitive price.
Under our standard terms and conditions, we retain the copyright until we have received the agreed payment, after which we transfer copyright to you.
If we are not paid, we reserve the right to refuse the use of text we have written for any purposes – we have never had to do this and hope we never need to.
Please check whenever commission creative services – writing, design, photography and more – to check who will own the copyright.
We are always happy to help you, whether that means chatting for a few minutes over the phone at no cost or providing formal consultancy for which we would charge.
First, we both need to agree what your objectives are and what options are available to achieve these.
Call us for a no-obligation chat on 0333 0444 354 or .
We often write on commercially sensitive or confidential topics, such as content for a product launch with a publication embargo.
We guarantee to maintain confidentiality when writing such material and are happy to sign non-disclosure agreements.
We also shred any paper printouts with DIN 4 level shredders for security.
Our freelance copywriters provide technical copywriting for case studies, press releases, trade press articles, white papers, brochures and web sites.
We can explain complex technical concepts in easily understandable English.
We have written technical copy for manufacturers of electrical power generators, pleasure craft and workboats, electronics testing laboratories, software companies and other specialist technical clients.
Robert Zarywacz has also written hundreds of IT and internet articles for The Business Magazine.
We have helped a number of businesses and organisations promote themselves using social media. This includes promoting events, exhibitions and awareness campaigns, eg raising the profile of apprenticeships.
We are active on twitter (@z2zcom) and other social media sites.
Our freelance copywriters have considerable experience of writing content for web sites and online systems, reaching back to 1985 before the existence of internet as we know it now.
Our writers understand the role text plays in indexing web pages with search engines and the need to incorporate key words and phrases into text.
Recently, we have written batches of up to 50 blog posts for IT and software companies.
Our copywriters have lots of experience of writing regularly for newspapers and magazines.
Robert Zarywacz was freelance business editor of the North Devon Journal for seven years, writing thousand of business articles, managing campaigns and helping to run the newspaper’s annual business awards.
We are happy to write or edit for weekly or monthly publications.
We can also design and lay out magazines and manage printing or update and manage magazine web sites or newsletters.
We always provide a quotation for you, so that you know the full cost of copywriting for your project before we start. To prepare your quotation, please send us a sample page demonstrating the quality of writing so that we can estimate how much work is required.
Our charges are based on a combination of:
- number of words
- time needed to research, write and edit your text
- revisions and amendments
If you supply a lot of information and notes for us, the cost is likely to be lower than if we need to research content and interview you, your employees or customers. That is why we provide a quotation before we start, because every project is different and requires an individual approach.
Payment terms are 14 days by BACS transfer, PayPal or cheque.
We are VAT-registered and VAT is added to all prices.
Much of our copywriting covers business-to-business topics, although we also write for consumer and leisure audiences.
We believe effective writing is what is most important and we will look at writing for any audience where we think we can achieve this.
If we feel that we are not best suited to write on a specific topic, we will tell you.
